The 65’ Pride Flag and LGBT+ Monument is small in scale but has become a community landmark. Proposed before gay marriage was legalized in the U.S., its approval was wholly due to community support. Since installation, it has become a gathering point for celebrations, protests and memorials, and inspired other community place-making projects.
